Charity Fraud Awareness Week 2021
Published 18 October 2021
It’s International Charity Fraud Awareness week from 18 – 22 October 2021.
All charities, NGOs and not-for-profits are at risk of fraud. Charities who support the local community are particularly at risk of fraudsters attempting to exploit current national and global crises to carry out fraud and cybercrime.
Learn about how you can tackle fraud by checking out the Preventing Charity Fraud website(external link). Their online resource hub (external link)has free tutorials, webinars, videos, case studies and help sheets that can help you prevent, detect and respond to fraud committed against charities and not-for-profits.
Charity Fraud Awareness Week is led by the Charities Commission of England and Wales and supported by more than 40 international regulators and not-for-profit stakeholders, including Charities Services.
